What Causes Tiredness And Body Pain While On Temazepam?

I can not fall asleep. I am constantly tired. I don t have other obvious symptoms other than some body pain and getting way too hot through the night after about 3 am. My bones and connective tissues hurt a lot. I have had sleep problems for several years. I take 10 mg of temazapam but just can t fall or stay asleep. I don t want more meds. I want to know what causes this inability and fix it! I am 66. I do take meletonan and calcium D and magnesium. Could this be an endocrine problem. I am female.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many medical conditions that can cause insomnia.

One of the common causes is hyperthyroidism.

So, it can be an endocrine issue.

I suggest checking the thyroid and cortisol hormone level for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
