What Causes Tiredness And Leg Pain Despite Taking Iron Supplements For Anemia?
Hello, my daughter has been feeling very tired, nauseous, and leg pain. She was diagnosed with anemia. She has received iron prescription, and last Friday a transfusion. Her Hct was 4. went up to 9.1 but not raising any more. She still has all of the symptoms especially tiredness and leg pain.
hi thanks for posting in HCM I have understand your concern
tiredness in your case is no doubt because of anemia , 9 gms is also less only.
nausea is because of iron tablets, they are known to cause this
leg pain is not related to anemia , may be any small injury not observed by your daughter and pain manifesting now. you have not mentioned about where exactly pain and nature of pain
I can suggest you to change over to iron injections to reduce nausea and absorption also good
try some pain killers like tab.hifenac-p twice daily for 2 days , if it is not reducing we ll take further plan of action.
hope this helps you any doubts get back , I'm happy to answer thanks
