What Causes Tiredness And Lethargic While On Candesartan?

Hi,

My husband has been swithced by his doctor from Ramipril to Candesartan, this was due to a side effect of a hacking cough. However he has now been on the new drug for 3 days and is feeling tired and lethargic. How long will it take his body to get used to the new drug? If tiredenss persists he would rather go back to Ramipril and suffer the cough, as lethagy impacts on day to day activities more.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. The tiredness and lethargy associated with taking candesartan can be most likely due to hypotension. His blood pressure should be checked. If remaining so low every time then you should approach your treating doctor to decrease the dosage of the drug. This may help him to get normalized.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
