Hi
Thanks for posting on the HCM. I appreciate your concern about your friend. And it is good you are in touch with his health provider who is doing advised xray and
ct scan and
MRI.
I believe he must have been undergone some other tests , like blood analysis , ECG etc .
The unintentional
weight loss of 60 lbs in one year, long standing persisting pain chest , and breathing difficulty and
tiredness , alongwith the white shadow in the xray , all are significant clinically .
wait for CT and MRI results which will make things more clear in reaching the diagnosis .
meanwhile give him more comfort at your level best . pain killers as prescribed by his physician , to get the relief of pain .
For breathing difficulty help him to avoid activities which him more uncomfortable and makes him more breathless.
someone of his family or friends should give him more time to discuss his concern , and give him moral support , help him to take correct medicine in a correct time, and assist him in his day to day activities.
If he is
smoking it is better avoid smoking .
The opinion given based on available information in your question.
It is hoped that this advice will help you to some extent.
I ll like to discuss this case after the reports of MRI and CT.
Thank you
