What Causes Tiredness In A 6 Year Old Child?

I have a six year old daughter. She has no health problems, but recently has been very tired. She has even fallen asleep at school twice this week. She is asleep by 7:30pm and wakes at 7am. She is in first grade, so she doesnt have naps, but I would think over 12 hours of sleep at night would be sufficient. Should I have her iron checked or be concerened? Could this just be a growth spurt?

Hello dear, welcome to health care magic forum.
Recent onset tiredness and lassitude in a child needs an initial evaluation for any underlying cause. She is getting adequate sleep.Common causes are anemia, some systemic infection etc.Your pediatrician will guide you. You may be asked for basic investigations like blood and urine tests.
Meanwhile, have a diet rich in fruits, veges and protein.
Hope you will find this answer useful. Thank you.
