What Causes Tiredness With No Sense Of Vision For A Minute?

I recently had an episode the other night where I felt very tired. I had to go lay down and a little while later I opened my eyes and I was completely blind in my right eye. There was no sense of vision at all. This lasted for about a minute and then it slowly came back. Is this something I should worry over? I'm 33 years old.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having sudden onset of complete loss of vision lasting for few seconds. These symptoms indicate transient ischemic attack.
The common causes are hypotension, hypovolemia, hypoxia...
Atherosclerosis affecting the carotid arteries needs to be ruled out. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor to rule out the above mentioned diseases.
All cases of transient ischemic attacks needs to be evaluated as they can be a prodromal symptoms of central retinal artery occlusion which can lead to complete loss of vision if not treated properly.

Hence do consult your doctor for appropriate examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
