What Causes Tonsil Stones And Sore Throat?
I have had tonsil stones and I m getting them very frequently now, and some are small some are big and bleed when I touch them or try and get them out, my throats feels very scratchey and uncomfortable and I m coughing and I gag from it a lot , my right tonsil is swollen to , do I need tonsillectomy?

Recurrrent episodes of tonsillitis have led to the formation of tonsil stones which bleeds.
This requires settling the infection first with antibiotic course of 7 days followed by tonsillectomy.
-Maintain oral hygiene.Do cold water gargles.
This will prevent worsening of symptoms and bleed control.
You need consultation of ENT surgeon in that regard.

I understand that here we are having all the features of tonsillitis. for such complains we usually recommend antibiotic particularly for the atypical infections along with regular girgling with analgesic as needed.
so far as tonsilectomy is concerned please get it examined at the ent opd as it is indicated in chronic tonsillitis.
