Hi doc, Im using khaini for 6 years now. My tooth gums are little paining and i have quit using khaini for over 3.months now. Shall i still be in fear of the past that something will be happening as i used khainis. Whenever i get a struck pain or anythin in mouth or in head, i connect it to this. I have stopped the khaini and now o dont know if i would get out of this. Seeking your help
I can understand your concern. It seems that the pain you are having in tooth is due to decay of the tooth or gum disease and not because of chewing tobacco.
I would advise you to visit a dentist for clinical examination of the oral cavity. If it will be a decayed tooth, root canal treatment or extraction can eliminate pain. If it is gum disease, ultrasonic scaling can help to eliminate pain.
In addition, when you go for check up, you can also ask the dentist to do screening for oral cancer which can eliminate your fear of cancerous growth.
If you are in pain right now, Ibuprofen 400 mg or Ketorolac 10 mg up to thrice a day can help in relieving pain.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
