What Causes Transient Ischemic Attack?

I am having strokes in both eyes. Both eyes are involved although the left eye is worse and glaucoma is developing there. My primary care doctor believes that the medication I take for high blood pressure is sufficient increased meds would not help. A carotid artery test indicated little plaque,so that is not the cause. I wonder what cause of TIAs that have plagued me for at least fifteen years now. What can I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Carotid artery plaques reduced the blood supply to the brain and it might be the reason for TIA.
Consult a neurologist and get evaluated. Blood thinners like aspirin can be taken.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
