Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It is very likely that the
tremor in your hands and the low platelet are two unrelated things.
The tremor may be functional (meaning no real cause can be identified) and in this case it is worse when you try to reach an object and grab it but it is less when you rest. If your tremor gets better with attention (when you try to use your hands or grab something) but is worse when you are no using your hands (at rest) than
Parkinson disease may be the cause and specific treatment for it might be indicated.
The low platelets happen from many possible reasons as well. If you have only low platelets but normal red blood cells and white blood cells than very likely this is Idiopathic
thrombopenia that most of the cases is autoimmune. There are specific treatments to help with the platelets levels like
steroids and if they do not work the doctor might decide to remove the
spleen (the organ that destroys the platelets).
To conclude i would say that you need to have a good physical examination and some tests done to find the cause of the symptoms you have and that very likely they are not related to one another but are 2 different conditions that will need their own specific treatment once diagnosed.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards,
