What Causes Tremors In The Little Fingers After A Rotator Cuff Surgery?
Wow, this is fast.I had rotator cuff surgery (6 screws) four years ago. About a year ago I noticed a tremor in my little finger on this arm. Now my arm shakes frequently. It sounds like Parkinsons to me,as I look on the internet. I wonder if rotator surgery could be a contributing factor to the tremors, can you advise.
It can be due to nerve involvement or any nerve trauma during surgery however if post surgical physiotherapy or rehabilitation is delayed may temporarily present like lack of coordination for few weeks however settles gradually. In either case you should get it reviewed by the treating orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon and get NCS done on affected arm. Rest of neurological examination to rule out any Parkinson's or Parkinson's plus onset should be ruled out.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
