I went and got tested for an std a couple weeks ago because of a burning sensation I had and my results came back negative for your basic std scans chlamydia cephalis etc....but while there doctor gave me a antibiotic powder drink and said wait for my results...I had a sexual encounter with my ex wife a week ago and she goes and gets tested and she said she was diagnosed with tricamonis but 3 weeks prior to she went and got tested after I did and her results came back negative so now why all of a sudden after a few days we had our sexual encounter she is positive for tricamonis? How did she get it if it was the only person she was having sex with? And if she got it from me why didn t it come up in my std screening?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Your language is little confusing! Anyway, Trichomoniasis in men will likely be to remain asymptomatic. Most often it will difficult to demonstrate Trichomoniasis in men and likely to be missed. Repeated attempts may bring success. If it is present in scanty amount, then in women also some test it would come positive and sometimes it would likely to be missed to identify the same. Another point is, the time taken between the discharge from women taken and tested would also affect the outcome of the result. Dr S.Muruigan
