Hello,
I can understand your concern. If you have
Trigeminal Neuralgia, you must be having a trigger point, touching which will cause sharp, shooting pain for some time. It occurs most commonly at night.
However, if you are having pain behind ear, it seems more like due to an
ear infection rather jumping to the conclusion of Trigeminal Neuralgia. In addition, Trigeminal Neuraligia does not come in episodes of 4 days. If you have it, touching the trigger point any time will give you sharp, shooting pain.
Thus, my advise to you is to consult a physician or an
ENT specialist for clinical examination and examination of ear for presence of infection. If clinical examination of Trigeminal Neuralgia suggests that you have it, then treatment for it should be started.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.
Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
