Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have a hard time of sleeping at nights and whenever I am in one position for a long time my legs jerks and I become so anxious on the inside but calm on the outside I once spoken to my teacher who says I may have anxiety but I honestly do not know. what may you recommend I do for these factors?
hi there thanks for choosing HCM As from your history I have come up with the diagnosis that you either have a problem of Restless leg syndrome, where there is a feeling of creepy sensation in the legs that makes difficulty in falling asleep. OR you can have leg cramps in which you may fall asleep but because of sudden cramp and pain in leg muscles you wake up. please try to take the following measures and see if you feel any improvement. 1. do exercise every day in the morning. 2. drink plenty of water at least 12-14 glasses each day 3. do not drink tea or coffee or any other beverage having caffeine in it. 4. take a hot bath 1 hour before bed time. do all these for sometime, I hope this will help
kind regards dr Fouzia
