What Causes Twitching In Thumb While Having Diabetes And High BP?
I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and am obese. My blood sugar is under control with oral meds and lantis and my blood pressure is also normal with meds. Recently I have been experiencing twitching in my thumb and forefinger on my right have. My father had Parkinson s disease so this twitching is quite concerning to me. Could there be a different cause for this twitching other than Parkinson s?
hi, thanks for writing to hcm. type 2 diabetes mellitus is a progressive disease even though on medications and with normal blood sugar levels . its classic symptoms are excess thirst, frequent urination and hunger. along with this itchiness and peripheral neuropathy (tingling sensation). you could probably take vitamin b supplements . if you donot have any symptoms of parkinsons disease you dont need to worry. take care.
