Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my eye lid have been twitching for about 6 weeks now consistently. Slight heaviness/numbness around that area down to the cheek (left side). Had a health screening August of this year, results were fair, except HbA12 a bit high at 6.2%. What may be the problem, or is this related at all?
Thank you for asking this query in HCM. The persistent twitching of the eye lid and the numbness in the cheek is not to be ignored as it may be indicative of a neurological problem. Do you have any other symptom like headache, abnormal movements, numbness or weakness of any other part of the body? Your HbA1c is in the pre-diabetes range and is not the cause of the problem. If this persists, you should see a neurologist and have your problem diagnosed. You are welcome to ask if you have more queries. Take Care, Dr. Noble Zachariah
