What Causes Twitching Sensation In The Eyes And Face?

Over the past year an eye twitch has become more severe and has progressed to uncontrollable facial movements. All are only on one side of my face. When it was just an eye twitch an eye doctor said he did not see anything wrong and it would go away. It has become much more severe. Could this be a brain tumor? Could these movements be seizures?
