Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Twitching Sensation In The Fingers After An Injury?
i had a deep finger cut on the inside of my hand (top of middle finger down to my palm) i have had a survey/stitches since then. was asked to not use that hand etc. my review and all that is tomorrow. i can move my fingers better now but sometimes they twitch and shake. also, there is pain if i touch where the cut is. is everything ok?
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to tendon inflammation or regeneration tissue in this region.
In my opinion, there is nothing to worry about!
I would just recommend trying to use your hand as much as possible in order to gain full function.
If the numbness persists, performing nerve conduction studies and consulting with a neurologist may be needed, in order to investigate for any possible nerve damage.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
