Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Twitching Sensation On Fingertips After Touching Objects?
I am 62 year old female, good health not overweight. After mowing the grass I experienced a strange sensation in my finger tips that lasted about 15 minutes. When touching another object it as if my finger tips had an electrical current or very rapid movement or twitching. What could be going on?
What happened is that all your body especially arms have been shaking while mowing the grass. This has been causing compression of the nerves causing this electrical current/very rapid movement.
Just relax, avoid overusing the arms. Take magnesium supplements. If still no improvement within a few days, you should consult further with your caring doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
