What Causes Ulcer In Urethra And Pain During Urination In Men?

I am seeing an ulcer in urethra. I noticed a small rash on the foreskin but that has began to fade. I was also experiencing pain during peeing but that has also began subside. This could be attributed to the antibiotics given to me but I am still concerned that I may have contracted an STD or STI. These are the only symptoms I have had and I would like to know if these symptoms would suggest contraction.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
An ulcer on urethra and rash on foreskin are suggestive of sexually transmitted disease (STD).
Certain investigations need to be done which includes screening for STDs, swab from base of ulcer and urine routine examination.
STDs can spread to urinary tract and vice versa.
These investigations will determine the causative agent responsible for the infection.
The treatment can be thereafter be planned.
Till the time the infection is treated, please refrain from unprotected sex and practice safe sex only.

Thanks and take care
