What Causes Ulcers Under The Tongue And Bottom Gum?
I am currently on holiday in the Dominican Republic. Over the last day or so, I have developed ulcers under my tongue as well as 4 on my bottom lip gum. Today I have noticed a red patch on the roof of my mouth which goes to the back by my airway. My airway has become a lot smaller in size too. Do you know what this is and how to treat? It's very annoying and sore! Thank you
As per you query it seems that you are suffering from Infection and inflammation in throat and mouth leading to pain and ulceration.. Red patch and sore throat that is Pharyngitis seems to be due to throat infection while ulcers in mouth is due to Apthous Stomatitis leading to Apthous Ulcers.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like throat swab culture has to be done.. In case of infection you will be advised Antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room. For mouth ulcers Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine, take a Vitamin B complex tablet daily... Avoid spicy food..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
