What Causes Unbearable Nausea After Smoking?

I use to be a heavy smoker but quit totally about 2 years ago. Today however after a stressful day, I lit up a cigarette and about 5 mins after smoking it, I threw up and still have an extremely horribly nauseous feeling in my stomach. Do you know why that is?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query unbearable nausea after smoking is because of the fact that it affect your blood circulation and once you quit and now took it again so its effect will also depend on personal metabolic rates. I would suggest you to quit smoking. If nausea keep son increasing visit general physician once and get it examined. Drink plenty of liquids to neutralize its effects. You should continue with a healthy lifestyle and avoid situations where you h ave such a stress. Take antiiemetic drug such as Domperidone as well.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
