Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I cut my thumb while cooking and the top part of it came off and I pasted it back on. I started to bleed for about an hour and had to put it into ice to stop the bleeding. A Short while later my finger and thumb started to shake when I tried to turn a page or hold something, I was at one time diagnosed with Parkinson but it was not Parkinson. I have had this problem for over 4 years and have not been able to stop the shaking. A test on my hand showed a irregular transmission between my fore finger and my thumb but nothing was done Can you help me, I do have Health insurance but no doctor to take care of the problem. I would like to make an appointment with a surgeon to determine what can be done if anything Phone 0000 I will be happy lto pay for thee visit. Thank You Joel Steinman
Since you cut your thumb and are experiencing shaking and bleeding & irregular transmission between forefinger and thumb, you might have hurt the nerves. It may also be due to stress, anxiety or muscle strain. You have history of Parkinson disease and are presently experiencing uncontrollable shaking. Drinking too much caffeine can worsen muscle twitching. Stay away from addictions if any.
Visit ER, get the injury cleaned and bandaged. If your injury is deep they may give you a course of antibiotics.> To treat uncontrollable shaking, get clinically examined by a Neurologist, get NCV tests, biopsy , MRI done. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, take vitamin B6, B12, E rich food or supplements to help repair nerve damage.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
