In ASD, lung infections are common.
This is due to congestion of blood within the lungs.
This process can initially lead to excessive coughing as a reflex mechanism.
The possibility of pulmonary hypertension/PAH is high in your case.
Sinus venosus type ASD is known to cause PAH in few cases.
You need get this one sorted out soon by appropriate investigations.
For this I advise you to get a
HRCT of the chest and 2D echo of the heart at the earliest
Once the timely diagnosed, suitable treatment can be initiated at the earliest to prevent irreversible changes in the lungs.
