Doctor, I recently had the gastric sleeve procedure, approx 90 days ago, i ve lost about 56 lbs so far, over the past few days unexplained bruising has developed on my arms, biceps, lower right rib cage. Do you think there is a connection ? Or what else can cause these bruises?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
As per your history is concerned please do following investigations to ruled out causes responsible for bruishing on skin-:
1)Full blood Count with Differential
2)Liver and kidney Function test
3)Ultrasound full abdomen(Stone)
4)Check if you have any drug over dose or not
5)Finally do a clinical check up to ruled out DVT(DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS) present or notor you can do a D-dimer assay test which is 97% specific .
Thanks
