What Causes Unpleasant Vaginal Odour After Having Intercourse?

When I have sex with my partner I ve noticed a very strong fishy Oder, I m really embarrassed by it and don t know what it is caused by. I ve been to the doctor and had std tests which were all negative, she also checked for bv or yeast infections but she said that was all negative too. When she examined me she did notice extra discharge inside me. I really want to clear this up its affecting my self esteem and my relationship! HELP!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Fishy odors are most commonly related to BV which you mentioned. Though your tests were negative, you may still want to consider treatment for this infection.

This can be done topically or orally. Metronidazole can be used either topically or orally. The oral dose is a single dose.
The other option is tinidazole which is also used orally.

I hope this helps
