What Causes Unresponsiveness In A Stroke Patient With All The Vitals Are Normal?

Hi, my 80 year old father had a stroke last Tuesday. On Monday and Tuesday the doctors had a hard time waking him up. It took 1 hour. Today, he wouldn t wake up until 2pm. He was unresponsive yet all his vitals were normal. What could be the cause of this?

Thanks for posting on HCM
It sounds that he has had another mini stroke (TIA) - he must been seen by Dr & also if not had must have CT scan
Hope this will help
