What Causes Unsteady Walks, Twitching Legs And Arms With Flickering Eyes?

Hi, yesterday after school I took a 1-2 hour nap after a long day of school. I then woke up and got up on my feet to get something from my closet. I walked out of my bedroom to use the restroom and I started to fall on my tv and on to the ground. After I hit the tv I fell on the ground and attempted to get up which is when my legs and arms started to twitch and my eyes started to flicker. Strangely I don t recall actually seeing myself falling/hitting the tv but I could hear and feel everything that was going on. Why did this happen?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of stress and fatigue. Such symptoms can also occur when you are dehydrated, lack of energy due to exhaustion or poor nutrition, low glucose level, BP or thyroid issues. If you are in the menopausal phase it could be due to it. You are suggested to get clinically examined and get a thorough medical check up done. In the meantime take food rich in Vitamin B6, B12 and vitamin E. You can also take supplements. Take food rich in iron & calcium. Stay well hydrated, take adequate stress. Stay away from anxiety & stress. Exercise regularly & maintain a healthy life style. Maintain a low BMI.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
