What Causes Unusual Heavy Bleeding And Severe Cramps?

In June I had a really heavy period and quite bad cramps which for me doesn t often happen but when it does it is very heavy and sore. But the last two months I haven t had anything much at all which is quite rare for me. I do know I am not pregnant because I am not sexually active at the moment and haven t been for a very long time so definitely no pregnancy for me. For the last few months though I have been trying to lose weight, but it has been very gradual and slow so I don t think that could be it. What could be causing this and could the weight loss be affecting my menstrual cycle?

Hi

Irregular or heavy bleeding can occur due to hormonal imbalance.

Polycystic ovaries,obesity and hypothyroidism should be identified and treated effectively which are some of the main causes of hormonal imbalance.

Ultrasound pelvis,FSH LH hormone ratio ,thyroid profile and blood sugar level ,body mass index is essential to identify the cause.
