What Causes Unusual Pain In Elbow And Forearm?

Hi I had no injury that I know of to my left arm but when I extend it or lift things it hurts in the fold in front of my elbow the crease extends to my forearm and when I make a fist I feel the pain as well. What can I do to make this better and also what could this be.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it seems like neuromuscular in origin, and any abnormal movement or nerve compression might have triggered it.

You can use OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen alongwith muscle relaxants like orphenidine or tizaindine, for speedy recovery.

Meanwhile avoiding heavy wieghts, rest and local application of capciacin gel may also be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
