General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Nexplanon is an effective birth control device that can be 99% effective but pregnancies do occur at times. Since you are on Nexplanon and have symptoms of conception / pregnancy, you are suggested to visit a gynecologist, get urine and blood tests done to confirm pregnancy. Pregnancy can be ectopic so you can be recommended to get USG (Uterus and tubes) done to confirm it. You may have to get few blood tests done as well. You will be managed and treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
