What Causes Unusually Small And Spongy Left Testicle?

My left testicle is as small as an almond and spongy soft at touch while my right one looks normal. I never noticed this difference before and I am 24 now. I usually felt in cold my testicle hiding in ingunal canal and during their descent it was painful. What is my diagnosis ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
If one testis is smaller in size than the other like what you have noticed, kindly get evaluated by getting an Ultrasound scan of scrotum done.
It will tell weather it is functional or atrophic or has a developmental anamoly.
Even it is not physiologically functional, kindly get your semen analysis done as the other testis appears to be normal to know the fertility status.
With these tests, you can contact Surgeon for further course of management.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
