What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain Accompanied By Dry Mouth And Sore Throat?

I have intermittent dull pain in my upper middle abdomen that started suddenly 5 days ago. It comes and goes and is made worse by eating and drinking(although water seems to be helping). It has been accompanied by more frequent bowel movements, dry mouth, pain in my lower sides(rarely), a very mild sore throat(came before the dry mouth, and I ve been coughing up clear phlegm. Unfortunately, searching my symptoms on Google leaves me thinking it s nothing at all, something I m dying from, or something in between. Any ideas as to what might be going on?

Hello,

Commonly upper abdominal pain occurs due to IBS, acid reflux, indigestion or food allergy. Some times it can be due to peptic ulcer.

You can take antacids & PPI's to get relieved. Avoid hot spicy oily food. Take homemade food rich in fiber, avoid constipation, stay well hydrated.

Sore throat can cause dry mouth. Gargle with warm saline water or Listerine/ Hexidine mouth wash. Get examined by a GP, you may need antibiotics.

Take vitamin E rich food or vitamin E supplements to avoid dryness of the mouth.
