What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain And Bloating?

I have extreme swelling in my upper abdomen.Is it possible that,due to excessive medications,that my liver is reacting negatively?The entire upper half of my abdomen is swollen.Also,I am having great difficulty breathing eating and sleeping.Please help.

Hello,

- You say to be taking excessive medications. May I know the primary diagnosis for which you've been prescribed? And the name of medications you've been taking?
- Bloating (swelling in your upper abdomen)
If you have taken antibiotics, they might have altered your intestinal flora, causing candida overgrowth. I recommend to take:
- Probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- Gentle laxatives to empty your bowels
- Simethicone for the bloating
- Antacids
Meanwhile, should consult further with the doctor who prescribed the first medications to check for possible side effects or complication of the primary diagnosis.
