What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain And Burning Sensation Inspite Of Taking Sompraz?
hi Docter..I am 56 old, suffering from upper abdominal pain and burning. Our Dr gave me sampraz20 and maftal but there is no relief . Blood, urine, stool tests and sonography are normal. The pain is still there from 1 month. so can you please suggest anything?
Esomeprazole (Sompraz 20) is a PPI to reduce the production of acid in the stomach and Meftal Spas to relieve the spasms of stomach and intestine. You may try increasing the dose of Sompraz 20 to Sompraz 40 and also add some antacid liquid orally. If it does not work, then an endoscopy of the UGIT (Upper gastro intestinal tract) may be required for proper diagnosis and treatment accordingly. Possibility of H. Pylori is also to be ruled out and treatment done, if indicated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
