What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain Radiating To The Back?

I am having pain and discomfort in my high part of my stomach, This pain sometimes generates to my back. 42 yrs ago, I had a pain like this and it turned out to be my appendix, they are now gone. Not sure what it could be and if I should see a doctor.

Hi there can be numerous possibilities for these symptoms. Which side does the pain radiate to? One most common cause could be gall bladder issues. This is only a hunch. It's better to confirm with an abdominal scan. You can meet a doctor to be on the safer side. I hope this helps you. Take care :)
