What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain?

I have begun experiencing pains in my upper right abdomen. These are fairly sharp and seem to go through to my back. I do not remember any type of injury. I have had my gall bladder removed. I am a Caucasian female age 65 in very good health. I am not having any nausea or other issues.

Dear ,
Since ur gall bladder has been removed so there are only few possilities are left, one of them is inter costal.musle spasmodic pain which can be sharp and radiating to back...for such pain u have to take muscle relaxant along wid pain killer.
Secondly it can be due to chronic pancreatitis .but that seems less likely as this is associated with gastrointestinal symptoms mainly.
I hope I answered ur queries and u ll be relieved soon.
If it doesn't subsidies than visit a physician.
Thanks
