Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
have been having upper abd pain for an hour now. It feels like a gallbladder attack, but I ve had a cholecystectomy. I have not over eaten today. This has happened several times, but the Dr. s have not been too concerned as it has gone away. I m very concered.
Upper abdominal pain may be due to many causes like liver, gall bladder, pancreas, acidity etc. As gall bladder is removed,it is important to exclude other causes. You may need clinical correlation and few investigations. You may need routine hemogram, random blood sugar, liver and renal function test,ECG. Empirically you can take proton pump inhibitors like tablet pantoprazole. You may need specific medicines after evaluation.
