What Causes Upper Back Pain Radiating Towards Breasts?
I am 48 yrs old female and have been having sharp pain on my right upper back; it goes all the way through my body to my boob. It is very painfully. After the pain I will breath heavy like I catching my breath., shortness of breath, than my heart will feel different.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Sharp pain on right upper back radiating to breasts can be due to nerve related problem like compression, injury or irritation of nerves. Difficulty in catching up breath can aup breath is suggestive of involvement of pleura. Pleura is the covering of the lungs. Involvement of pleura due to infection or inflammation can lead to pain in chest and difficulty in catching up breath. I suggest you to consult a chest physician for clinical assessment and relevant investigations to diagnose the condition. Management can be planned after diagnosing the condition.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
