Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing a discomfort in the upper left quadrant, around or near the location of the pancreas. It is under the lower left ribs. It is not painful, it feels like a pressure that is not relieved with repositoning in any way. It is becoming increasingly more and more frequent and is disrupting sleep and everyday function. It started within the last couple of weeks, would come and go but is now more constant. Any suggestions?
Hi, sir you are discomforted and feeling heavyness in stomach area(under lower left ribs) mostly because of inflammation (gastritis). It will worsen with meals or hunger and will radiate to the back. you have to change your food habits and lifestyle. avoid eating junk food, have a plain, nutritious, healthy meal with more of fibre and drink plenty of water. Maintain your daily routine with fixed timetable as much as you can. Avoid eating food hot. You can take medicines like pantoprazole or rantac and digene or mucain gel.
