Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in my upper leg, especially the hip area when I lay on it at night. It seldom hurts when I am walking, working, or during other activities. I am currently taking Lupron and Xgeva for prostate cancer. is this pain related to these conditions
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have upper leg pain after taking Lupron . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like soft tissue injury , fracture or hematoma or condition like sciatica . The symptoms can also occur due to side effects of medicine you are taking. I would suggest you to keep icing on thigh , keep your leg elevated , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Consult general surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan x-ray or physical examination . Doctor may drain hematoma and prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to dermatologist for allergic reaction of infection.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
