General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It may be due to costochondritis which is inflammation of ribs and the associated costal cartilages through which ribs are attached to the central axis of the body. Use antibiotics (Augmentin), analgesics (Diclofenac plus acetaminophen/paracetamol) along with a topical analgesic spray/gel. It will be relieved in 5-7 days. Bed rest will help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Deep Singh, General Surgeon
