Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Upper Right Abdominal Pain, Bloating And Nausea?
In the last two weeks I have three attacks lasting 6 hours - upper right hand severe abdominal pain, bloating, nausea (and vomiting which did not cure the painful cramps which lasted up to 20 seconds with minutes of no cramps between). There does not seem to be a specific food or drink that triggers these attacks. The last one started in the morning, the first one started at night. The pain is accompanied by total fatigue and a desire to lie down and rest. Not eating helps. I think I might have a gallbladder problem or pancreatitis - what do you think?
welcome 2 hcm i think what you are is mostly cholecystitis as nbm helps in reduction of pain and bloating you may confirm yourself by pressing on right upper quadrant and inspire if it pains very much at inspiration height then its mostly it it can be diagnosed by sonography and can be managed by antibiotics with iv fluid followed by surgery once inflammation resolves if needed
