What Causes Upper Right Quadrant Pain After Eating Or Drinking?

Sometimes after eating or drinking tea, I have pain and discomfort, in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen. I ve had a history of IBS, gastritis and have been lactose intolerant for quite a few years and have been on proton pump inhibitors for more than 25 years. I ve never had this pain until just recently and I ve also had my gallbladder removed several years ago and this pain is very different. It tends to go away over time and will sometimes improve if I lie down. I m assuming it s diverticulitis or colitis of some sort.
