Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have a problem with bloating and some sort of mild cramping in my upper stomach and have been feeling naseated lately.have had gallbladder ultra sound and endoscopy and colonoscopy ,all coming back okay. any insight? YYYY@YYYY thanks
Hello and welcome to HCM, Bloating and cramping in upper abdomen is suggestive of upper gastrointestinal (GI) disturbance. Upper GI disturbance can occur due to indigestion, gastritis, etc. Gall bladder stones can also cause similar symptoms and 10% of gall stones are not visible on ultrasound abdomen.
Thus, I suggest you to consult a gastroenterologist for clinical assessment and thus management. In the meanwhile avoid fatty and spicy foods. Avoid beverages at night. Take light food for symptomatic relief.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
