What Causes Upset Tummy And Throat Constriction?

My son (16) is feeling by turns shivery and then flushed and hot. He says he has a knot in his tummy that feels like hunger but is not. Last week he was off school with what our GP diagnosed as a non specific virus ~ upset tummy, temperature, throat constriction. He felt better for a couple of days and now worse again.
I'd be grateful for your advice

Because of not proper care it worsen a lot.

Sputum culture test is helpful for checking effectiveness of drugs.

Drink more water.
Take analgesic for pain relief. In viral infection symptomatic relife can done.
Endoscopy is helpful for further diagnosis.
