What Causes Urge Incontinence In The Morning?

I m a 48 y/o male who has used methamphetamine on and off for 25 years with a few multi year breaks. I began using for 2 months and stopped recently but i m having some issues urinating in the morning (I feel like I have to go but cant). Please advise.

Hi.

I am glad we connected. Some medications can cause difficulty in passing urine. This can happen because of urinary retention because the drugs have an action on the alpha receptors.

However, one may develop prostate hypertrophy or increased size of the prostate because of age. This can cause problems with urine flow.

Getting an ultrasound done would be a good idea. Seeing a urologist would be a good idea as well!
