What Causes Urge Incontinence?

I have been having the urge to go to the bathroom but no burning. I went to my dr on Friday and he did a urine test and said I had a little bacteria but he was doing a culture. I won t hear anything til tues with this being a holiday. It has got worse so I talked to a pharmacist and he gave me a over the counter med called oxytrol to get me through the weekend. It has helped some but now I have woke up with vaginal itching and I have had hemorrhoid itching for about a week. I might also add that I just got off augmentin and flaygl for diverticulitis attack about a week ago and started a new probiotics about 2 weeks ago. I have a diflucan pill that I could take .

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

So far as symptoms narrated here, urge incontinence seems to be urinary infection related via cystitis development.

You can safely take Diflucan as anti fungal agent and prophylaxis as well as curative concerns.

Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids and follow prescription guidelines of your doc thoroughly.

I would like to assist further at anytime.

Regards.
