What Causes Urge To Urinate And Burning Sensation During Urination?
Hi, I've been having the urge to pee for a week now and when I go I feel burning and I usually have to sit on the toilet for an hour or so because I am so uncomfortable feeling like I'll pee all the time. I went to the doctor and got prescribed on UTI medicine which made me extremely sick. I just went back to the doctor because I've had migraines and they said I don't have a UTI shown from results of my urine test. I'm not sure what's going on but it is unbearable
Hello You did not mention your gender because urgency of urine if different in male and female . While urgency also depend on age because in old age male patient usually benign enlargement of prostate is one such cause . Diagnosis can be confirmed by PSA examination as well as ultrasound of prostate . 2nd most common cause is urine infection , so urine culture is important. While 3rd most common cause is calculus anywhere in urinary tract system.Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of urinary tract system. However ,there are so many other reason of such symptoms as dehydration ( because of short duration symptoms)but in my opinion consult an UROLOGIST and get his opinion. Good luck.
