What Causes Urinary Incontinence Along With Bad Odoured Urine?

I am 51 had my gall bladder removed my years ago. 2 years ago I had a emergency surgery to have my intestines shortened due to my bowels backing up. now I think I have an overactive bladder due to occational leaking. Happens when I sneeze hard, playing with kids, etc. Recently when I go to the restroom I have a foul smell to my urine. I don t currently have medical but it worries my that something serious may be going on here. Advise as to what could be or causing these issues and if bladder has anything to do with the sudden leaking at times.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. Seems you have a chronic UTI I.e. long-standing urinary tract infection. It can be confirmed by a urine examination and culture. Apart from UTI, there are other causes for incontinence. If you are a female and have had multiple vaginal deliveries, the laxity of your pelvic floor muscles may be causing the stress incontinence. Hope this helps.
